We offer a diverse program (lectures, readings, conferences, podiums) with a focus on historical, political and ecological topics.
Few people could imagine that the seminar building where most of our events nowadays take place was built as a canteen for the staff of the East German border crossing point in winter 1989/90.
In 2000 the Borderland Museum was expanded by an educational center, which provides space for lectures, readings, school projects, workshops and panel discussions. All rooms are equipped with modern event technology. The smallest room holds space for up to 25 people, the largest is big enough for 100 people.
The library and large parts of the museum’s archive are also housed in the educational center.
